One thing the Psychology Club Loves to do- Volunteering!
Here are some of the volunteer events we've done in the past years!

Aids Walk
AIDS Walk is a walkathon fundraiser that raises money to combat the AIDS epidemic. The funds raised from AIDS Walks usually benefit a local AIDS service organization (such as Gay Men's Health Crisis, Whitman-Walker Clinic or the AIDS Project Los Angeles), which provide services and advocacyfor local community residents who are infected with HIV. They are also often credited for being effective tools of public outreach, community empowerment, and education for the issues surrounding AIDS. (wiki)

NAMI Walk
NAMI Greater Houston (NGH) works to keep family safety nets in place, to promote recovery and to reduce the burden on an overwhelmed mental health care delivery system. NGH works to preserve and strengthen family relationships challenged by severe and persistent mental illness.

Costal Clean Up
the efforts of non-governmental organizations and individuals to bring about social and political change in the area of marine conservation. Marine conservation is properly conceived as a set of management strategies for the protection and preservation ofecosystems in oceans and seas.

Heal the Bay
Heal the Bay is dedicated to protecting California's Santa Monica Bay, a region of the Pacific coast encompassed by Malibu's Point Dume on the north and the Palos Verdes Peninsula on the south. In broader terms, it also supports efforts to preserve and protect all Southern California coastal waters and watersheds.
